第二次世界大戦下において大勢のユダヤ人が虐殺されたポーランドアウシュビッツ強制収容所を訪れた。
のどかな平原が広がるこの場所で、７０年前何百万人もの人が命を奪われた。その現場を訪れる。

歴史を学ぶ事。それは歴史を活かす事。８００万人と言う人が犠牲になったアウシュビッツを学ぶ。

bags whose owner was gone.

死の壁。ここで何人もの人達が罪無き罪で処刑された。
the wall where so many people were killed for non guilty.

当時は高圧電流が流れていた鉄線。絶望して自ら握った人もいた。
at that time, high-tension current ran through the line. some people who knew it grabbed it.

ガス室。この場所で何万人もの人達が命を奪われた。
the gas room where so many people were killed.

焼却炉。次々に増えていく遺体を焼却していた。
this is the place where remains were cremated.

アウシュビッツビルケナウ絶滅収容所。
東京ドーム３７個分の敷地に最大９万人もの人が収容された。

人々を運んで来た車両。

かつてガス室があった場所。敗戦時に証拠隠滅のため破壊された。
there used to be the gas room. soldiers broke it to hide the evidence.

人々が暮らしていた部屋。ここに横たわってどんな事を考えていたんだろう。どれだけ涙を流したんだろう。
the room people lived. i wonder how they felt here and how much tears they cried with.

アウシュビッツの線路の最後にあったもの。

それは親子のモニュメント。
どんな国も、どんな文化も、親が子を愛する事だけは変わらない。どんなに憎しみあっても、戦争をしても、絶対忘れては行けない。自分に愛する人がいるように、敵にも愛する人がいると言うことを。

鉄線を握って当時の人々の思いを汲む。現場に来なければ分からない事。よりリアルにその思いを想像する事。
i imagined how they felt here with grabbing the wire.

戦争はいけない。戦争をしないで済む手段を、戦争が起こらないうちに考えておかないといけない。起こってしまってからでは誰にもそれは止められないから。

i oppose the war. i think we must find out the way we never fight the war. if it happens... no one will be able to stop.
